Abbey’s Goal x Tokki present faye and Fluffy’s amazing drag queen storytime for toronto pride 2023
What a joyful and amazing day we had, celebrating community, literacy and PRIDE in Toronto with so many amazing friends and family. We were honoured to work with Tokki to present Toronto’s very own, Faye and Fluffy Drag Queen Storytime. Hundreds of children and families gathered together in the park for a beautiful morning of stories and songs celebrating belonging and community! As part of the free event, we were able to make a donation in Faye and Fluffy’s name to the Toronto 519.
ABBEY’S BIRTHDAY TOY DRIVE
Abbey’s Goal is proud to collect toys every year for our annual Abbey’s Goal Birthday Kindness Drive. Hundreds of toys are donated to children at Ernestine’s Shelter, a residence and outreach program for families leaving domestic abuse. We also collect warms hats, gloves and mittens for people in the city who may be in need of some help and warmth. People from all over Toronto drop by to bring a donation, share a cup of hot chocolate and spread some love in honour of Abbey’s birthday.
Rainbow revolution
During the Covid-19 crisis, Abbey’s Goal was proud to initiate a Rainbow Revolution, handing out over 1000 DIY rainbow tree kits for a donation to The Stop Community Food Centre. The rainbow trees offered gratitude to frontline workers, hope to communities and raised $20,000 for The Stop. Thank you for coming together to spread love in Abbey’s name.

Pink the Rink X Tournament with the Little NHL
Abbey’s Goal and the Etobicoke Dolphins were thrilled to welcome the Atom C team of the Wiikwemkoong Nation from the Little NHL to the Pink the Rink Tournament. The girls played a great tournament and presented Abbey’s Goal with a beautiful hand-carved trophy to be used for years to come.

Abbey’s Goal Memorial Run
The Toronto Police Amateur Athletics Association hosted a 5km charity run, with all proceeds benefiting Abbey’s Goal. The run took place at Downsview Park, as well as vitually, as a part of their Annual Police Games. Thank you to all the runners, families and friends who made the run a huge success!

Toronto Air Traffic Controller Charity Golf Tournament
Abbey’s Goal was proud to be supported by the 31st annual Toronto ATC Charity Golf tournament. The tournament and dinner took place on a beautiful day in Niagara, not only raising an incredibly generous donation, but also sharing Abbey’s story and kindness rocks with so many.

ABBEY’S BOOK LAUNCH
On June 2, Abbey’s Goal launched Abbey’s Book List at Pizzeria Defina. Guests purchased sets of Abbey’s favourite and most influential books, with proceeds going to fund donated sets to all places where children read, learn and grow. The event was an overwhelming success, with enough money raised to donate 500 books to the community.

On Abbey’s 10th birthday, we presented Ronald McDonald House with the contributions donated from Abbey’s generous friends and family in her memory. We are happy to announce that we met our goal of raising $5,000.00 for this incredible cause.
